Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day

Returning Volunteers

Returning volunteers are required to attend a Refresher held before each club season begins.

Typically, the fall Refresher is held on a Thursday in September and the spring Refresher is held on a Thursday in January.

There are two sessions on each date – one during the day and a second session is in the evening to best accommodate your schedule. CEF Refreshers are held at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA.

Fall Refresher

The Fall Refresher is a time to gather all returning volunteers (almost 400 of you!) and discuss our upcoming Good News Club season. This includes presenting the curriculum, distributing materials, meeting with your team and attending break-out sessions that are pertinent to your role in the club. It is a wonderful time to exchange ideas and fellowship with other volunteers serving in school districts throughout Lancaster County. You will also be asked to sign the annual Workers Compliance Agreement at this time.

Spring Refresher

The Spring Refresher is geared toward inspiring and encouraging you as a volunteer spiritually. We have a guest speaker who will share information to ground you in the Lord and prepare your heart to serve. You will also pick up your club materials at this time. This is a Refresher you don’t want to miss!

Refresher Testimonials

“I always look forward to the CEF Refresher – the information is so helpful!” – Pastor Rick Rimert

How Can I Get Involved?

There are several opportunities to be involved with a Good News Club. You can pray for the children and teachers in the club. Become a club teacher or helper by contacting your local chapter and asking about training and opportunities.
